MachaTulama Association USA (MT USA) has organized a Fundraiser to Help Displaced Oromos in various regions of Oromia. The Association solicited donations and organized various Oromo benefit concerts to help Victims of deliberate massacre of more than 700 people on October 2, 2016 during the Irreecha festival and Oromos uprooted from the border areas of Eastern, Southern and Western Oromia. MTA reached thousands of Oromos at every part of Oromia. The Association was there to wipe a tear from a mother who just buried her only child, to comfort a grieving widow and children who have just lost their parent. Even though the humanitarian catastrophes our people are facing always overwhelmed MTA, the association played a major role in reaching our people with identifying targeted hotspots, building deep rooted networks to get to the lowest point of the problem and verifying the proper usage of the funds to the intended target even though it’s support has been a drop in the ocean of human misery.
